Week One Spring 2024

To mark the start of this semester, I am reminiscing on old works and looking forward to decorating and coming into my own space in the studio so that i can find and develop my own style and concept to further my ideas for my coming senior show next semester, as of now i have made clay and plan to get busy making and experimenting once i run it through the pug mill! I am looking forward to a great semester and will keep updating as the semester moves forward!!

I am going to try and work big this semester and explore what it means for me to work with clay and how i can express that in my art. I am also interested in crystalline glazes and making shapes that would suit that type of glaze patterning when fired. I am also interested in making utilitarian items that will be used and enjoyed by many.

I have a kiln that I am going to be refurbishing at some point with new elements and a new kiln sitter which I am very excited about as this will allow me to fire my own work at home!
